Term 1 Learning

Our school wide concept this year is: 'Curious Critical Thinkers'

This term we will be exploring :
- how the brain works
- how we can be successful learners
- knowing our place in the classroom and being able to discuss our learning

Writing:
In writing we will be focusing on powerful verbs and adjectives. These skills are reinforced through our personal recounts and cameo writing. IWe will explore how to plan, write and edit quality pieces of writing. We can't wait to share with you!

Mathematics:
Statistics (Weeks 1-2)
Number: addition and subtraction, number knowledge (Weeks 3-8)
Geometry (Weeks 9-10)

P.E.:
This term we have a gymnastics programme called moveMprove. We thoroughly enjoyed our first session! The 'Kids Rich in Character' focus for term 1 and 2 is 'Self-Control'.
