Butterflies

Our first butterfly hatched yesterday. How exciting! We have four more chrysalises we are watching to see more butterflies to emerge. We have lots of caterpillars too. They sure are messy though!

Adjectves

In weeks 4 to 6 we were learning about adjectives. Adjectives are words that describe a noun. together we wroye a list of adjectives that Miss McClue lamintaed. Now we can alsways think of interesting words to describe what we are writing about.
One of the samples of writing we looked at was from Roald Dahl's story 'Boy'. It was about a headmaster called Mr Coombes. You might know the story! Here are some examples of writing we did about someone we know using adjectives.

Friends
I miss my best friend so much. She has curly brown hair. Her name is Tia. She has light brown skin and is very funny too. What a lovely friend to have.

Zach

Yahoo! Zach's mum drove me to Zach's house. When we got there Zach's mum opened the door. Zach's gigantic dog pounced up at me. Lick lick lick! What a surpirsie! His tongue felt like bumpy pebbles.
